Death becomes…your jeans!
By: Daniel Bonner-Bell
Do you have a favorite pair of jeans? I’m talking the perfect fit, the perfect color, and the perfect wash. You’d wear them every day of the week if you could, and sometime do — I won’t tell. The pair that causes anxiety every time you have to wash them, knowing every wash is one wash closer to their inevitable demise. Say there was a solution that would keep you and your jeans together forever, or at least until you lost those last ten pounds. Would you take it? How much would you pay? What would you give up?
Luckily, you don’t have to give up much more than some extra freezer space!
What you’ll need:
- Large Freezer Bags
- Dirty Garments
- Freezer
What you’ll do:
- Fold your clothes neatly.
- Place them in a large freezer bag. I prefer Ziplock.
- Put in your freezer, at least over night, and up to one week.
- Take them out and enjoy your freshly cleaned, albeit cold, garments.
- If the cold is bothersome, you may may put them in the dryer on tumble or fluff setting until thawed.
Also, one thing to note: While this does work quite well on all types of clothing, it does not aid in the removal of stains. More on that topic later!
